Can you share your best weight loss foods here, and also the dreaded foods you should avoid totally?

Many people who want to release weight simply don't know what to eat or not eat. I have solved some complex weight struggles just by showing people what superfoods can do for weight loss and giving them ideas on what to eat.

What are you top 5 foods that you should AVOID no matter what?

What do you have for breakfast that guarantees that you will not have cravings during the day?

Do you know what HFCS is and why it is the worst thing ever?

I still recall, even though I have a hard time adhering to, some excellent dieting advice, as far as what NOT to eat… here it goes:

  1. If it comes in a wrapper that crinkles, crackles, or shines, don't eat it.
  2. If you can get it at a drive-thru, don't eat it.
  3. If you can not pronounce more than two of the ingredients, don't eat it.
  4. If it is pre-cooked and you just put it in the microware, don't eat it.
  5. If its a different color in the supermarket than it is in nature, don't eat it.
  6. If it is produce, and doesn't grow anywhere near you, eat it sparingly at best (supposedly, local produce is one of the very best things in the world you can eat, for weight loss and for general health).

More thoughts:

Don't eat alot of 'fillers' (rice, bread, pasta), because these fill you up by expanding in your stomach, leaving you feeling empty later.  They can also be rough on the ol glycemic index.  This is often attributed to the way you feel hungry again a couple of hours after eating chinese.

Lower your serving sizes by telling yourself what a great snack or meal the remainder of the food will make at  the next meal, or for tomorrow.

This one I got from a fellow I used to work with.  He said the greatest boost to his diet regimen was volunteering in soup kitchens and homeless shelters.  You get a much different perspective on 'hungry' when you do, so he said.

In restaurants, order off of the kids menu, or have the really 'naughty' parts left off of an entree.  I am a diabetic, and telling the server this tends to smooth over most weird changes I want to make to my order.
